Terms of use
These terms cover using Uni Mock Interviews and buying a plan. They're short and written to be read. If anything here conflicts with your legal rights, your rights win.
Who runs the site
Uni Mock Interviews is run by its owner in the United Kingdom. You can reach us using the contact link at the bottom of the home page.
What the site is, and isn't
- It's a practice tool for UK university interviews. It's independent and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any university.
- University names are used only to say which interview each mock helps you practise for. The names belong to their universities.
- Each format is built from the university's published information, and formats can change. Always check your own invitation and the university's website for your real format, dates and rules.
- Practising doesn't guarantee an interview, an offer or any result. Scores and feedback are practice feedback, not a prediction of what a university will decide.
AI on this site
Marking, Live help suggestions and some practice questions are written by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, not by a person. AI can get things wrong, so use the feedback as a guide alongside your own judgement and your teachers' advice. The interviewer's voice is a recorded or computer voice, not a live person. If you see anything harmful or inappropriate, tell us and we'll look into it.
Who can use it
- You need to be 13 or over.
- If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian before buying a plan, and only pay with a card you have permission to use.
- Accounts are for one person. Don't share your sign-in or an access code you've been given.
Plans and payment
- Free: one full mock interview, with marking. No card needed.
- Monthly: a set price a month. It renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel online at any time from your account, using “Manage or cancel your plan”. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Lifetime: a set price, paid once. “Lifetime” means for as long as Uni Mock Interviews runs. If we ever close the site, we'll give at least 30 days' notice on the site first.
- Paid plans include unlimited mocks and unlimited marking. Each month includes a set number of detailed markings (our most thorough feedback, using a larger AI model), shown in the pricing section and on your account page. After those, marking carries on as quick marking, which uses a faster AI model and is slightly less in-depth. You can choose detailed or quick before marking each mock, and each result says which was used.
- To stop automated misuse and shared accounts, quick marking has a fair-use limit of 1,000 markings a month, far more than anyone practising for interviews needs.
- Stripe handles payments. The price you see at checkout is the full price.
Cancelling and refunds
- When you buy online, UK law usually gives you 14 days to change your mind. Your access starts straight away, so at checkout we ask you to agree to that and to confirm you understand that you then lose that legal right to cancel.
- Even so, if you're not happy, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full.
- If the site doesn't work as described, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to have it fixed, or, if that isn't possible, a refund. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights.
Fair use
Please don't copy, scrape or resell the questions or anything else on the site, try to get around the marking allowance or access checks, use the site to harass anyone, or record or transcribe someone without their permission. We can suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we'll refund any unused part of a plan where that's fair.
Your answers
Your answers stay in your own browser and they're yours. When you ask for marking or Live help, the answer text is sent to Anthropic to write the feedback. The privacy notice explains exactly what goes where.
Our content
The questions, mark schemes, designs and writing on this site were made for it and belong to Uni Mock Interviews. You're welcome to use them for your own practice.
If something goes wrong
We work to keep the site running and accurate, but can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. We're not responsible for interview or admissions decisions, or for loss nobody could have foreseen. Nothing here limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms. If a change affects a paid plan in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site before it applies, and monthly subscribers can cancel.
Which law applies
The law of England and Wales applies. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
