How a mock works
Practise on your own, with the voice running the interview, or with a parent, teacher or friend playing the interviewer. Either way, the site does the rest.
Choose the university and subject
Pick the exact format you've been invited to. Its stations or interviews, timings and reading time are set up for you.
Run it in real time
Each question is read aloud and the clock keeps time, with a bell at the start, one minute before the end, and at the end. Answers are typed, dictated or transcribed live.
Get marked and improve
Every station or interview part is scored against that university's criteria, with specific points to improve and a practice plan.
Built around how real interviews run
Real formats and timings
Station lengths, reading time, changeovers and the number of interviews follow each university's published guidance. Where a detail isn't published, the setup page says what's assumed.
Practise alone or in pairs
Practising alone, the voice runs the whole interview: questions, follow-ups at the right moments, hints when you're stuck. With a partner, they get the interviewer's notes and mark scheme.
Live transcript
Turn on the microphone and each answer is written into its station as the candidate speaks, with long pauses counted automatically.
Marked against the criteria
Each answer is marked against the qualities that university says it assesses, by Claude, Anthropic's AI. You see why each score was given.
Questions from your personal statement
Paste your statement and, where the university uses it, you'll be asked about what you actually wrote, the way real interviewers do.
A report you can keep
Download a full report with every answer, score and improvement point, and track how you're doing across mocks.
What the feedback looks like
An example from one part of an Oxford Maths mock: the proof problem.
Points to improve
- You spotted that the sums were square numbers from small cases, but stopped there. Turn the pattern into a proof: induction, or the picture of L-shapes growing a square.
- When the tutor offered the hint about drawing it, you kept going with algebra. Try the hint out loud first; tutors want to see you use one.
- Say what the nth odd number is (2n − 1) before you use it, so every step can be checked.
Every format on the site
192 formats at 58 universities and medical schools. Oxford and Cambridge interview almost everyone they shortlist; Imperial and UCL interview for many courses; and interviews are standard across the UK for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy and the allied health professions.

Questions
Is this connected to the universities?
No. Uni Mock Interviews is an independent practice tool. Each format is built from the university's published course and interview pages, listed on that format's setup page. Always check your own invitation for your exact dates and format.
Who plays the interviewer?
Anyone: a parent, teacher, tutor or friend. They don't need to know the subject, because the site reads the questions, keeps time and shows what a strong answer covers. Or choose “Just me” when you start: the voice asks each question and follow-up, moves you on when time's up and counts your long pauses, and the mark scheme stays hidden until your results.
How is it marked?
Each station or interview part is marked by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic (not a person), against the criteria that university says it uses, with a score, a band and specific points to improve. It's practice feedback to help you prepare, not a prediction of your result.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. It works in any modern browser. For the live transcript, use Chrome, Edge or Safari and allow the microphone.
What do you store about me?
Your Google name and email, and your plan, which Stripe keeps with your payments. Interview answers and recordings stay in your browser. Answer text is sent to Claude only to mark it, and this site doesn't keep it. Read the privacy notice.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Monthly plans can be cancelled online at any time from your account, and you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. Lifetime is a single payment with no subscription. Either way, if you're not happy, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment. The terms have the details.
How much marking do I get?
Marking is unlimited on both paid plans. Each month includes a set number of detailed markings, our most thorough feedback, and after that marking carries on as quick marking: the same format, slightly less in-depth. You can choose detailed or quick before marking each mock.
